STANDING IN THE GAP FOR THE CHURCH

Forty days of focussed prayer and fasting 20 June – 29 July

FAITH FOR A CHURCH, FAITH FOR A CITY

2 Chronicles 7:14 If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Eph:20-23 All this energy issues from Christ; God raised him from death and set him on a throne in deep heaven, in charge of running the universe, everything from galaxies to governments, no name and no power exempt from his rule. And not just for the time being, but forever. He is in charge of it all, has the final word on everything. At the center of all this, Christ rules the church. The church, you see, is not peripheral to the world; the world is peripheral to the church. The church is Christ's body, in which he speaks and acts, by which he fills everything with his presence.

Devotion - Day 40

Thanksgiving

As we come to the end of this forty day period of prayer and fasting and specifically of ‘Standing in the gap for the church’ let us continue to exercise our faith for the future and to celebrate anticipated answers to prayer with praise and thanksgiving.

Psalm 100
Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all you lands. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before His presence with singing. Know that the Lord, He is God. He has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise; be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting; and His truth endures to all generations.

Phil 4:6
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.

Let us thank God for and pray for:
* Every person involved in Doxa Deo London
* His continued grace, favour and blessing upon our lives
* Abundant provision to do the ‘work of the ministry’
* All those serving so hard behind the scenes to make the ministry possible
* Healthy working relationships with other churches in the city
* Coming revival to the city of London.
